Spotlight on the Brand - Nikki @ Rose & Guy

A collection of brother & sister baby vests and t-shirts.

Who’s behind Rose & Guy?

When my son Isaac was born just over 4 years ago I struggled to find trendy clothes for him that didn't have pictures of cars or dinosaurs all over them. I studied Textiles and Fashion at College so I decided to make him some leggings myself, lots of my friends loved them and told me to start selling them and so I did.

I started up an instagram page and set up a website and it’s just grown from there. I now have an 18 month year old daughter so I now cater for girls too and I rebranded to 'Rose&Guy' which comes from both of my children’s middle names.

I have now given up my "real" job and love being able to work from home and this is what drives me to keep pushing my business forward.

What do we love about Rose & Guy?

We came across Rose & Guy when we were looking to add to our For Little Ones collection.

T-shirts and body suits – made from beautifully soft 100% cotton - we love that you can just choose whichever combination fits your little family!
Would be fun for a photoshoot to announce the new arrival too!

Parenting

‘A Little Bit Dotty’ is all about gifts for babies and family so we thought it would be interesting if we asked Nikki a few parent related questions. This is what she said.

What parenting tip would you have given your pre-child self?

Sleep when the children sleep.

What do you miss most about life before children?

A lie in haha!

What do you love most about being a parent?

Helping them learn and grow into their own little individuals.

What would you say is the hardest part about being a parent?
Discipline, I think it’s such an important part of them growing up but it’s also the hardest part as a parent to keep consistent and not feel guilty for telling them off when they need it.

What's the most embarrassing thing your child has said or done in public?
Once when I was feeding my daughter in a cafe and struggling to do it discreetly my son shouted at the top of his voice 'mummy why is your boobie out?' to which everyone turned round to look whilst I was sitting their struggling.

A big thank you to Nikki at Rose & Guy for taking part in ‘Spotlight on the Brand’.
